Luvassa on siis monille uusia, mielenkiintoisia maisemia. Voit mennä ja tulla omien aikataulujesi mukaan tai kulkea ohjatun porukan mukana. Jos tarvitset retkelle seuran kalustoa, suorita varaus itse varausjärjestelmästä.

Some details of the Venetsialaisretki:

Duration:

Friday 26.8 (18.00) – Sunday 28.8 (late afternoon)

It is possible to join later on Friday evening also, and it is also possible to join on Saturday morning too, in case someone has no time to join on Friday.

We will meet at the Vaja on Friday at 18.00, and leave the Vaja at ~18.30.

We start paddling from Fäboda Caffeestuga, (Pikkuhiekantie 265, 68620 Pietarsaari). If someone wants to drive there directly, please inform Fabian in advance.

Trip destination:

Fäboda (outside Jakobstad), Pörkenäs, Torsön (outside Nykarleby), Hällgrund and back to Pörkenäs.

The exact trip route and overnight stop will be chosen together with the participating paddlers on the day, so that weather forecast is taken into consideration.

Also the skill level of every participant will be taken into consideration for the route planning.

Level of difficulty: Medium

Part of the trip are exposed to open sea, paddling distance ~5km on Friday and ~20km on Saturday and Sunday.

It is highly recommended to join the Pelastautumisharjoitukset on the 16.8 in preparation for this trip (at least if you have not joined Pelastautumisharjoitukset earlier).

Camping places:

The first night will be spend on a beach close to Pörkenäs Lägergård. It is also possible to join this overnight camp later during the evening, the parking place is only 300m from the beach where we camp.

The second night will be spend on Torsön, also on a beach.

Fireplace:

On Friday, we will also have a fire, so you can take nice food for barbecue with you for the first night.

The Saturday camp may not have a fireplace, so it’s better to take a camping cooker with you.

Water:

Water needed per person: 4l per day x 3 days = 12liter.

Equipment:

All food and water must be taken care of by each paddler themself.

Toilet:

Both overnight beaches where we camp have no toilet and no running water, so it is needed to bring your own toilet paper, and to be OK with going to the forest for “toilet need”.
